Oklahoma City, OK- The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz had been a part of the city for over 5 years, and yes before you can even ask, I went to plenty of games, in fact...I intern there for one year. So I seen the ups and downs, and I personally know how hard it was to sell tickets to an event that many Oklahomans don't consider to be "Real Football". Which brings me to the reason I'm even starting a blog, (which by the way, I will be blogging/video blogging about everything- so hide your feelings or wear long sleeves) if the Yard Dawgz couldn't make it in the Arena Football2 league can this new team, the Bricktown Brawlers make it in the Indoor Football League? Let's look at a couple of points. POINT ONE: The Yard Dawgz for one, actually played in the Ford Center (now the Oklahoma Arena) for four years, the Brawlers will start off in the secondary arena out the gate, playing it's home games at the Cox Convention Center. And no, I'm no Cox blocker (it was funny in MY HEAD). POINT TWO: The Yard Dawgz first 3 seasons they compiled a record of 31-17 and making the play-offs each year. POINT THREE: The Yard Dawgz actually had hometown heros from local schools on the roster, but here is where the Brawlers grab a point. They have TUTTLE LEGEND, OU STANDOUT, HEISMANN WINNING (whew!!) QUARTERBACK Jason White as a part owner, will that help.....time will tell. So until the next blog. GO BRAWLERS!!!!
